– Betty J. Meyers grant, given by the America’s Research Network, Washington, to be composer in residence for 2020.
– Appointed Cultural Ambassador of the Mexican wine brand “Monte Xanic”

– Appointed Resident Artist of the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence), California, to create projects related to art, technology and space science.

– Platinum Album for 60,000 copies sold for the CD “Rock en tu Idioma Sinfónico” where he did the musical direction, arrangements and orchestral conducting. Sony Music, Mexico.

– Grant by the National System of Art Creators, Mexico to create new works for the Kronos Quartet, Tambuco Percussion Ensemble and Mexico City Philarmonic Orchestra.

– Selected as Composer and Delegate for Mexico for the International Rostrum of Composers of the UNESCO in Helsinki, Finland where his piece “Red Antisocial” was selected for international radio broadcast
– Considered one of the seven most important Mexican Artists internationally by the CDMX (Mexico City’s cultural webpage)
– Grant from Ibermusicas, Argentina to his ensemble Mal’Akh to represent Mexico during the 75th anniversary of the National University of Costa Rica.

– Nominee for an IMAS prize (Indie-O Music Awards), Mexico, for the “Nectar” album of his ensemble Mal’Akh in the Best Experimental Album category
– Grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Mexican Institute of Culture in New York to his ensemble Mal’Akh to represent Mexico in New York City
